His wife and infant son were run over, his best friend Goose was burned beyond recognition. To say the least, Max is pissed off and he's out for revenge. Max dons his police leathers and takes a supercharged black Pursuit Special to hunt down Toecutter and his ruthless motorcycle gang who are responsible. In this scene, Max is in high speed pursuit of the brutal and sadistic Toecutter who is on his Kawasaki Z1000. The Toecutter is briefly able to pull away from our hero, that is until Max hits the super charger and gets right on Toecutter's ass. Toecutter looks back as he gives it all he's got, suddenly a semi-truck appears and Toecutter is forced into its path. The bike is destroyed as Toecutter is violently crushed underneath the truck. The money shot comes right before impact when Toecutter takes off his goggles-not sure where he found the time to do that-and his eyes pop out of his head. Classic friggin' scene

Death Race - Reaper's Death
Grimm(Robert LaSardo) aka 'The Grim Reaper' loses control of his Chrysler 300C after running over some caltrops and is then blasted off the road by 14K's(Robin Shou) missile launcher. He comes out of the wreckage practically unscathed, gloating about how indestructible he is, that is until he meets his sudden and gruesome demise. He's the Reaper. You can burn him, you can fucking shoot him, but you just can't motherfucking kill him. Well......maybe you can.
You may remember Robin Shou as Liu Kang from Mortal Kombat. He will reprise his role in the upcoming yet constantly delayed Mortal Kombat: Devastation.

Top 3 Deaths We Never See
The death scene is a time honored tradition of the movies. Except this list isn't celebrating the art of dismembered limbs and exploding craniums. The following movie deaths are so iconic that they don't even have to be shown. Here are the top 3 off screen death scenes.
3. Thelma & Louise - The car drives over the edge of the canyon and film ends with a freeze frame of the car in mid-air. We never see girls crash into the rocks below, but we don't need to. Would've been epic though.
2. Fargo - Carl played by Steve Buscemi, is murdered by Gaear Grimsrud (Peter Stormare) with an axe, but the screen cuts to black right before the magic happens. It’s more Carl’s messy ‘burial’ involving a wood-chipper that is the trademark of this film more than his death.
1. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid - Butch (Paul Newman) and Sundance (Robert Redford) both wounded and surrounded by 100 soldiers of the Bolivian cavalry, burst through the door to face an essential firing squad. The film ends with a freeze frame sepia tone shot of the pair exiting the house firing their guns, accompanied by the sound of dozens of rifles being fired. It’s not only one of the most compelling death scenes, but one of the most iconic moments in cinema history.

Bride of Chucky - David gets hit by a Semi-Truck
The fourth installment of the Child's Play horror series, Bride of Chucky marks the point where the series takes a more humorous turn.
Paranoid after finding the police chief's corpse, David holds our protagonists at gun point. They stop the van and let David out, when Chucky leaps to life and shows himself to everyone. David is startled and backs up, only to be run over by a semi-truck.....and turn into ground beef.

Final Destination 2 - Massive Pile Up
We're gonna finish Car Accident week off with a bang. This clip is arguably the most brutal car accident in movie history. The special edition DVD is a must, it includes how the whole scene was choreographed and filmed. From the toy cars they used to plan the sequence to the CGI logs used to plow into the police car(they tried using real logs but they didn't bounce enough) I recommend the DVD to any movie buff interested in how they created those fantastic deaths. So there you have it, some of the best car accident deaths in cinema today. What do you think? What did I miss? Leave your comments and let us know!

The Descent - Death by Projectile
CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE SCENE
The opening scene from The Descent might look like just another car crash death, well it is, except it involves a few deadly projectiles. In the clip, the other car involved is carrying some copper pipes that fly into the windshield and violently impale the driver.

Death Proof - Tarantino's Crash
With the use of computer generated imagery (C.G.I.) becoming more popular; the danger in movie stunts, explosions, and car crashes is eliminated. Some argue C.G.I. devalues the realism and thrill factor. Some movie makers refuse to use C.G.I. in their films. In this scene from Death Proof, Tarantino used real cars to make the crash as violent as possible. Tell us what you think, C.G.I. or the real thing.

Final Destination - Always Look Both Ways
Yesterday's movie death involved Brad Pitt getting blindsided by a van in the scene from Meet Joe Black. Today is essentially the same, except with a Final Destination twist which involves more blood, guts, and gore. In this scene from Final Destination, Terry walks out into the middle of the street (without looking both ways) and is greeted by the city bus in a bloody explosion. Both scenes pretty similar, both entertaining, but which do you prefer?

Meet Joe Black - Joe Meet Windshield
To kick off Car Accident Week, we have Brad Pitt's death scene from Meet Joe Black. Brad starts to day dream about the gorgeous Claire Forlani in the wrong place. A busy intersection! After narrowly missing a speeding car, a van blindsides him and flips him in the windshield of an oncoming taxi cab. Fantastic!

CAR CRASH MOVIE DEATHS
Car Crash movie deaths. The best death scenes involving a vehicle. This includes: getting run over, crashing, explosions, whatever! The automobile has played a large role in cinema since the beginning. From 1968's Bullitt to John Frankenheimer's Ronin in 1998, the destruction of vehicles come as a delight to viewers. Car crashes have continually become more advanced throughout the years, but premise has been the same, to entertain. The "symphony of collision" always engages the audience and if some poor schmo flies through the windshield, even better!

Robocop - Toxic Waste Guy
There's one particular death in Robocop that stands out and that is the death of the toxic waste guy. In the climax of the movie our victim tries to terminate Robocop by running him over with a van. As Robocop dives out of the way of his puny attempt, he slams into a large container of toxic waste and comes out with his skin hanging off the bones, gasping in horror. He then walks out to the middle of the road and gets obliterated by Red Foreman in a 6000 SUX. Classic!

Robocop - Alex Murphy's Death
Alex Murphy's Demise
Truly one of the most violent deaths ever filmed, sure it might not "officially" count as a movie death since he comes back to kick everyones ass, but I'll make an exception on this one.
