Repo Man - What You Got In The Trunk?

In the midst of all this Charlie Sheen madness, poor Emilio Estevez still can't win. Internet jokes like THIS one, THIS one, or THIS one prove that no matter how insane or out of control Charlie becomes, Emilio will always live in his shadow. But there is one movie that shoots Emilio past his younger brother in the cult classic category, no...... not Judgment Night, I'm talking about the 1984 film Repo Man.

Call it what you want, a satire, a punk film, a black comedy, or an anti-society film. This film spoke to a whole generation during the Regan era and can still be relevant in today's society of war, capitalism, and television.

Dead Heat - Dead Again

One of the best on-screen decomposition death scenes, as if there are a lot of those. Keep in mind that this film came out one year earlier than Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Just a well done 80's B-movie special effect with no CGI.

Another great death scene in the film. To evade being killed by zombie Detectives Roger Mortis(Treat Williams) and Doug Bigelow(Joe Piscopo), bad guy Dr. Ernest McNab kills himself.
"Ya cheated me....god damn you McNab YOU CHEATED ME!!!!!!"
Dissatisfied, Mortis and Bigelow reanimate Dr. McNab just to kill him again. This time they do it right and we find out what happens when you resurrect somebody twice.

The Return of the King - Gollum's Death

As Gollum rejoices at finally having reclaimed his precious, the now fingerless Frodo charges at him. After a brief struggle, Gollum falls over the edge and into the lava. As he's melting in the lava, the greedy little bastard is still trying to hold on to the ring.

Alien 3 - Ripley's Dive

Ripley, carrying the alien Queen growing inside her, makes the ultimate sacrifice by throwing herself into a gigantic furnace. As she falls, the queen bursts out of her chest, but Ripley grabs the creature and holds on to it as she falls into the fire.

Terminator 2 - Thumbs Up

I'm not usually for posting non-human death scenes, but this is one for the books. The Terminator sacrifices himself, asking Sarah to lower him into a vat of molten steel so that his technology cannot be used to create Skynet.

The Fly 2 - Acid Loogie!

Some of the best death scenes have come from the lonely security guard who we have no attachment to. Take this scene from the Fly 2 for example, our victim gets a surprised from the fly when he hocks an acid loogie in his face. The guard screams in horror as he rips his own face off. Gore! Fuck yeah!

Wizard of Oz - Wicked Witch Melting

Is The Wizard of Oz a drug movie? Joe Baltake of the Sacramento Bee referred to The Wizard of Oz as "the definitive head film" for the counterculture in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Well I guess any movie with a talking lion and flying monkeys is trippy enough, but the sequel, Return to Oz, will fuck up your childhood. Damn Wheelers......

Volcano - Stan Melts

Classic scene from the film "Volcano" where Stan the Subway Worker meets a fiery end. Only thing missing is the thumbs up.

Robocop - Toxic Waste Guy

There's one particular death in Robocop that stands out and that is the death of the toxic waste guy. In the climax of the movie our victim tries to terminate Robocop by running him over with a van. As Robocop dives out of the way of his puny attempt, he slams into a large container of toxic waste and comes out with his skin hanging off the bones, gasping in horror. He then walks out to the middle of the road and gets obliterated by Red Foreman in a 6000 SUX. Classic!

Cube Zero - Flesh Eating Bacteria

This movie death is from the film Cube Zero, which is a prequel to Cube and Cube 2: Hypercube. There are a lot of great deaths in those films(except Cube 2: Hypercube, which wasn't very good), but this one stands out the most. Our victim enters the cube and is sprayed with a flesh eating bacteria (wikipedia says it's a highly corrosive substance) and the fun begins. Enjoy.

Raiders of the Lost Ark - Face Melt

At the End of Raiders of the Lost Ark a couple Nazis get whats coming to them. Especially Toht, the Nazi with the famous melted face. Fantastic!
