In case you weren't exited about the new Predators movie yet, be excited. This movie has nothing to do with those shitty Alien vs. Predator films. The new film will be closer in tone to the original Predator and even contain subtle nods towards the first film. The new Red-Band Trailer gives us a glimpse of what we might expect in the movie death department. Can you say "spine rip"?

Predators - Trailer
Robert Rodriguez, Laurence Fishburne, Adrien Brody, and Danny Trejo? This movie just might save the franchise from mediocrity. Robert Rodriguez named the film "Predators" in relation to how the second film in the Alien franchise was called Aliens. It looks like they're trying to recreate what worked so well in the original: Great characters, cool weapons, and an awesome monster. This is the sequel we have all been waiting for.

Predator - Billy's Death
Billy decides to make his final stand. Like he said earlier "we're all gonna die," so he strips to his waist and cuts his chest in a ritualistic way, ready to die. Later, all we hear is Billy screaming in the distance. Billy was a badass and for him to be screaming like that, it made the scene all the more terrifying. The best part comes soon after when we see the Predator rip out his spine and keep his skull as a trophy.

Predator - Dillon's Death
Carl Weathers plays Dillon, the mistrusted outsider and former teammate of Dutch who is now pushing pencils for the CIA. Dillon's death scene gives us one of the best special effects shots in the film: a severed arm with a still firing gun gripped falling to the ground in slow motion. As the Predator comes to finish him off, Dillon goes for his other weapon. The Predator deploys his wrist gauntlet and impales Dillon, lifting him up into the air. Dillon then proceeds to give out the manliest death scream ever.

Predator - Mac's Death
Mac brings a certain level of intensity and emotional impact to the film. The supercool badass whispers every line and works his razor to death. Mac has the most depth than any of the others characters in the film. After Blain's death, he loses it and from that moment on he made it his own mission to kill what killed his best friend. From chasing the predator through the jungle singing Long Tall Sally to unloading "Ol' Painless" and leveling a good portion of the jungle. Mac might be the most underrated character in the film. Mac might also have the best death scene of the bunch. As Mac crawls under the log in hunt of the Predator, he spots three red dots on his arm. As Mac pokes his head out of his hiding spot, we get a camera shot directly behind his head before the Predator fires a plasma round and splatters his brains all over the camera lens. Classic!

Predator - Blain's Death
Jesse "the body" Ventura shines in his role as sergeant Blain. Equipped with a modified M134 minigun he calls "Ol' Painless" and an attitude, Blain's death sets up Mac's actions for the rest of the film and gives us our first main death scene. Along the way, the tobacco chewing, MTV shirt wearing soldier also manages to give us the classic line, "I ain't got time to bleed." While scouting the forest, Blain sees something in the bushes......and the fun begins.

Predator - Death Scenes
This week we will take a look at the death scenes from the epic 80's action flick, Predator. This movie has a number of strong elements, but what really makes the film work is the Predator himself. Kevin Peter Hall, the man under the suit brings the character of the Predator to life using only gestures and body language. The Predator is a killing machine, armed with wrist blades, a plasma caster with triangular laser rangefinder, and many other advanced technological weapons all used to give us some great death scenes.
