When the title of a film is derived from an excruciatingly painful death scene, it deserves recognition(well at least on this site it does). At the end of the movie we learn exactly what the "Kiss of the Dragon" really is. Liu(Jet Li) punctures inspector Richard(Tchéky Karyo) in the back of the neck with an acupuncture needle at a "very forbidden" point. The puncture itself is called "Kiss of the Dragon", where all the blood in the body rushes to the head and floods the brain causing side effects of quadriplegia and bleeding from the victim's eyes, ears, mouth, and nostrils. Priceless!
SCENE AT 3:15
Rumor has it the technique actually exists. On the DVD commentary Bridget Fonda says she asked her acupuncturist during filming about it. Will you have convulsions and bleed out your eyeballs? Meh....probably not, but one can always dream.

Die Hard 2: Die Harder - Into the Turbine
As the bad guys are trying to make their escape, John McClane does what he does best, not let them. Major Grant(John Amos) and McClane duke it out on the wing of the escape plane. Major Grant says "too bad McClane, I kinda liked you." McClane gets the upper hand and knocks Major Grant onto the edge of the wing above the turbine. McClane replies, “I’ve got enough friends.” He kicks Grant into the turbine and we see blood splatter all over the side of the plane.

On Deadly Ground - Dr. Cox gets Splattered
Dr. Cox tries to pull a fast one on Steven Seagal in this scene from the 1994 film On Deadly Ground. MacGruder(John C. McGinley) tries the old "you can't kill me, you need need me" trick, but Steven Seagal doesn't need anybody, he's Steven fucking Seagal. So he Akidos his face into the tail rotor of helicopter.

Gozu - Death of a Yakuza Attack Dog
Scene from the 2003 Takashi Miike film Gozu. Ozaki(Sho Aikawa) takes care of a vicious Yakuza attack dog and begins his journey into the bizarre; full of breast milk, cow heads, and anal soup ladles. One of my personal favorite Miike films.

Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance - Revenge on the Black Market

Park Chan-wook's newest film Thirst finds Korea's leading man, Song Kang-ho(pictured center), as a much-loved priest who turns into a vampire after a failed medical experiment and becomes a tortured and depraved soul. The title refers to a craving for sex, blood and love. As we all know Park is no stranger to the movie death, as you can see from this scene from Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance he's also not afraid to show a little blood (or a lot).

Raiders of the Lost Ark - German Mechanic gets splattered

The fistfight between Indy and the German Mechanic has taken on a new stomach-tightening dimension. The men are fighting and flailing in and out between the spinning props at the back of the plane's wings. Each man comes within inches of becoming instant mincemeat.

Cube - Cubed
If there's one movie you want to see with movie deaths galore, it's Cube. This scene is the first of many deadly traps in the movie. Our victim walks into a room, the trap sets off and a swinging wire mesh slices him into small convenient cubes of flesh.

Alien - Chestbuster Classic
This is the special extended version of the scene, with extra never-before-seen cuts.
Probably one of the most recognizable movie deaths in film history. In the scene, known as the "chestbuster" sequence, John Hurt stuck his head, shoulders and arms through a hole in the mess table, linking up with a mechanical torso that was packed with compressed air (to create the forceful exit of the alien) and lots of animal guts. The rest of the cast were not told that real guts were being used so as to provoke genuine reactions of shock and disgust.

Evil Dead Trap - Watch Your Step
Shiryo no wana, better known as Evil Dead Trap in the US might look like a Japanese ripoff of Saw. You couldn't be more wrong, the movie came out in 1988, 16 years before Saw. The movie was so popular in Japan that it spawned two sequels. It starts out as an over the top slasher movie, but about halfway through the movie it goes beyond over the top into the realm of insane. You can't go wrong here; blood, gore, and did I mention that some of girls in the movie are Japanese porn stars. In this scene, a crossbow is attached by wire to a door handle. The door opens and an arrow shoots at poor Mako, who is tied up and gagged. It doesn't end there, watch the scene yourself to find out what happens.

The Omen - Hollywood's First Decapitation!
Everyone loves them, the blood squirting out the neck, the head rolling on the ground. The decapitation is the most basic yet most satisfying movie death. If done incorrectly, the decapitation looks unrealistic and almost comedic. If done right, it will leave the audience gasping in shock. I start with the one that started it all, one of the first decapitations in mainstream Hollywood. In this scene from the original Omen, a pane of glass on the back of a truck shoots out towards the reporter and slices his head clean off. Nice!
