[From the Extended Edition]
Saruman is stabbed in the back by Grima Wormtongue, who in turn is shot with an arrow by Legolas. Saruman falls end over end and is impaled on a spiked wheel. A great death by fall as the camera follows Saruman plummeting down the side of Orthanc to his demise. Very reminiscent of Mola Ram's death in Temple of Doom, minus the gators.

A View to a Kill - Max Zorin's Death
A View to a Kill has all the essential bond elements: A great theme song (Duran Duran), terrific bad guy (Christopher Walken), a hot Bond girl(Tanya Roberts), and Roger Moore kicking ass for one last time.

Punisher War Zone - Death Scenes
DEATH SCENES
1:05 throat stab
1:30 mid-air explosion
3:15 punch through the face
3:25 hilarious shotgun to the face
4:35 head explosion
6:45 Jigsaw Kabob
Some say Stevenson's Punisher is better than Jane's Punisher, or Jane's version took the time to have a story to it, whereas, the Stevenson version went right into the action and lacked depth. I say the better Punisher is obvious.....Dolph fucking Lundgren

Dead or Alive - The End
Dead or Alive is another great film from director Takashi Miike(Best opening 10 minutes in movie history). Detective Jojima and Ryuuichi are at the end of their ropes when they confront each other in the final showdown. Miike fools us with a completely over the top and out of left-field ending to an almost normal cop drama.

The Day After Tomorrow - Reporter Gets too Close
Ahhh, the Disaster Movie Death. It's never gory or too graphic, but there's just something about them that makes it great. In this scene from The Day After Tomorrow(a ripoff of the 1933 film Deluge), a news reporter gets hit by a flying billboard out of nowhere.
Scene is at 4:55

Swordfish - Slow Motion Hostage Explosion
A great scene in which an explosive-filled vest a hostage has been strapped into explodes. The blasts glass-shattering shock wave propels officers through the air as a "Matrix"-like bullet time shot using 135 still cameras pan 360 degrees around the explosion. We see the steel ball bearings rip through vehicles, buildings, and people in super slo-mo.

Watchmen Opening - The Comedian Shot JFK
I knew it wasn't Oswald!
Even if it was for only 22 seconds, the graphic recreation of Kennedy's assassination was pretty amazing. The whole opening really sets the tone of the film and Bob Dylan's song just makes the sequence complete. In the graphic novel. It is implied that the Comedian shot JFK and possibly even Woodward and Bernstein. Snyder took the brilliant little throwaway joke and translated it onscreen. The scene was just so epic that it deserves its own post.
Compared to the Zapruder film

Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky - Classic Head Crush
Riki-Oh is one of the bloodiest, most over the top horror comedy martial arts films ever made. Actually it just could be THE MOST violent movie ever made along with Peter Jackson's Braindead and Premutos: Lord of the Living Dead. This film is so unbelievably entertaining that I cannot convey its ultimate greatness with words alone. See this film.
If this scene looks familiar it was a regular fixture on The Daily Show during Craig Kilborn's time as the host.

Watchmen - Rorschach Puts a Dog Down
In the comic Rorschach handcuffs the child murderer to a furnace, pours gasoline, and throws the guy a handsaw (implying the only way to get out alive is to cut his own hand off). Rorschach then watches the building burn to the ground. In the film he kinda goes another direction.......

Watchmen - Rorschach's Death
"DO IT!"
Some would describe him as an idealized fascist. Some say he's a vigilante with serious emotional issues. The truth is that the freckled, ginger Walter Kovacs is the very definition of a badass. In this scene Rorschach takes off his mask when threatened by Manhattan. Walter no longer needs a disguise......
Jackie Earle Haley stole the show with his amazing performance as Rorschach. This guy is going to be an A-list star very soon. He brought so much depth and emotion to the character. It was hands down the best performance of the film. He was Rorschach.

Return of the Living Dead - Tarman want Brains!
"More Brains!"
John Russo and George A. Romero had a dispute over how to handle sequels to their 1968 film, Night of the Living Dead. The two reached a settlement wherein Romero's sequels would be referred to as the Dead movies, and Russo's sequels would bear the suffix Living Dead. Thus, each man was able to do what he pleased with the series........
The zombies differ in The Return of the Living Dead films:
- They are as fast, strong, and intelligent as they were in their previous life.
- Instead of hunting humans for their flesh, they hunt for the humans' brains, stating that only the taste of the endorphins contained inside human brains can ease their suffering.
- Injuries to their brains do not have any effect and the only way to fully destroy them is to cremate their bodies, although the ensuing smoke also spreads the contagious gas.
Enter Tarman, probably one of the coolest looking zombies ever. In this scene his hunger for brains is finally fulfilled.....

Ben-Hur - Chariot Race Deaths
To give the scene more impact and realism, three lifelike dummies were placed at key points in the race to give the appearance of men being run over by chariots. Most notable is the stand-in dummy for Stephen Boyd's Messala that gets tangled up under the horses, getting battered by their hooves.

Mirrors is a remake of the 2003 Korean film Into the Mirror. Angela is preparing for a bath when she walks over and climbs into the bathtub(Amy Smart ass shot!). Not noticing that her reflection has never left the mirror, it grips her jaw with both hands and begins to slowly pull it apart. Angela screams in pain and shock as the effects of her reflection's actions manifest on her face. Her cheeks tear open, her jaw breaks and detaches from her head, killing her.
