Raiders of the Lost Ark - German Mechanic gets splattered

The fistfight between Indy and the German Mechanic has taken on a new stomach-tightening dimension. The men are fighting and flailing in and out between the spinning props at the back of the plane's wings. Each man comes within inches of becoming instant mincemeat.

Raiders of the Lost Ark - Sword vs Gun

The infamous scene in which Indy shoots a marauding and flamboyant swordsman was not in the original script. Harrison Ford was supposed to use his whip to get the swords out of his attacker's hands, but the food poisoning he and the rest of the crew had gotten made him too sick to perform the stunt. After several unsuccessful tries, someone made the off-handed remark, "Why doesn't he just shoot him and get it done and over with?" Steven Spielberg immediately took up the idea and the scene was successfully filmed.



Just think, if Ford wasn't sick that day, we would not have this great scene and if Tom Selleck wasn't committed to "Magnum, P.I." He would've been cast as the original Indiana Jones, yeckkkk!

Classic scene from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. My favorite out of the trilogy from an entertainment standpoint, and I say Trilogy because Crystal Skulls should never be spoken of ever again.

Temple of Doom - Heart Rip Scene

One of the best all-time violent scenes from a PG rated movie. This clip from Temple of Doom is the main reason why we have a PG-13 rating. To this day, the scene is still censored in the UK. If it's one thing Spielberg and Lucus know how to do, it's how to off someone. Mola Ram chants to the Hindu goddess Kali for a human sacrifice. He then rips out our victims' heart and lowers him into a lava pit. As the victim descends into the hot magma, the still beating heart in Mola Rams' hand burst into flames. So let's recap: guy gets his heart ripped out, then is lowered into a vat of molten lava while still somehow alive. Now that's a movie death! Here's is the loose Hindu translation to Mola Rams chant:

Raiders of the Lost Ark - Face Melt

At the End of Raiders of the Lost Ark a couple Nazis get whats coming to them. Especially Toht, the Nazi with the famous melted face. Fantastic!
