What can be said about the film Full Metal Jacket that you haven't heard already? Great movie, Kubrick is a genius, R. Lee Ermey as Gunnery Sgt. Hartman was hilarious, Vincent D'Onofrio gives a haunting performance as Private Gomer Pyle, and "me so horny, me love you long time." From the moment the movie starts, the recruits are stripped and demoralized, then rebuilt into killing machines. In this scene, Private Pyle's downward spiral ends violently.
