Jurassic Park - "Clever Girl"

Remember in The Lost World, where like fifty armed mercenaries get attacked by dinosaurs? Not a single lethal round was fired. If fact, other than the beginning of the first Jurassic Park film("Shoot Her!"), not a single dinosaur is shot with a non-tranquilizer gun in the whole trilogy. What the hell Spielberg?

Take this scene for example. While hunting down the escaped raptors, Robert Muldoon, Jurassic Park's game warden, sees one hiding in the bushes. As he slowly and carefully unfolds the shotgun's stock and takes aim, a second raptor pops out from the bushes to Muldoon's left. "clever girl"

One of the few "kinda" on-screen deaths by a raptor. After the dino tackles Muldoon, you can "kinda" see through the conveniently placed palm fronds, it clamping on his head and eating it. How about next time you hurry up and "Shoot her!"

The Lost World: Jurassic Park - Eddie Splits

One of the more underrated deaths from the Jurassic Park series. Poor Eddie Carr, the guy heroically saves everyone from the overturned trailers and what did he get? Tag teamed by a pair of Tyrannosaurs in a rather gruesome death. After an adult T-rex throws one half of the hinged trailer over a cliff with Ian, Nick, and Sarah inside, Eddie throws down a rope and tries to pull the trailer back up using one of the SUVs. In the process he gets ambushed by the dinosaurs as they tear the vehicle apart.

Eddie attempts to pull out his tranquilizer gun in a frightened panic, but the front blade sight gets stuck in the camouflage netting resulting in his downfall.

One of them grabs Eddie by the leg and flips him in the air as the other Tyrannosaur grabs his lower half. The two dinosaurs play Tug-of-war until Eddie is finally put out of his misery.

His heroic actions earn him a mention later on in the film, when Roland Tembo claims, "The Rex just fed," to which Malcolm counters, "Just fed? I assume you were talking about Eddie. You might show a little respect, the man just saved our lives by giving his."

The Lost World: Jurassic Park - Carter gets Crushed

-----Oh Carter, we hardly knew ye.....

Part of the InGen team sent by Peter Ludlow. Carter has one of the most memorable deaths in the film and possibly the greatest crushed-by-a-giant-foot-death in movie history. Poor Carter meets his demise after his group of hunter-mercenaries are rudely awakened by a female T-rex. During the mad dash to escape the Theropod, Carter trips and falls. As he gets his head out of the mud and turns around, the Tyrannosaurus rex crushes him. Not only does he get squished, but he sticks to the underside of the dinosaur's foot as he gets crushed repeatedly every time the T-rex took a step.

But should we feel bad for Carter? After all, it was his screeching yell that freaked out the T-rex and ultimately caused his own demise. Also, if Carter was paying attention instead of jamming out to his headphones, Dieter would still be alive. When your best friend goes to pee in a jungle filled with carnivorous dinosaurs, you pay attention and wait for him god dammit.

Carter was played by Thomas Rosales Jr, some of you movie death fans may remember him as Chico, from the film Running Man. Actually, this guy has played in over a hundred films and he dies in most of them. We salute you...... Thomas Rosales Jr

Gremlins - Mrs. Deagle Takes Flight

The mean old cat lady who makes life a living hell for our protagonist Billy, gets what she deserves when the Gremlins sabotage her motorized chair. The chair shoots her up the stairs and launches her out the second story window.

Temple of Doom - Heart Rip Scene

One of the best all-time violent scenes from a PG rated movie. This clip from Temple of Doom is the main reason why we have a PG-13 rating. To this day, the scene is still censored in the UK. If it's one thing Spielberg and Lucus know how to do, it's how to off someone. Mola Ram chants to the Hindu goddess Kali for a human sacrifice. He then rips out our victims' heart and lowers him into a lava pit. As the victim descends into the hot magma, the still beating heart in Mola Rams' hand burst into flames. So let's recap: guy gets his heart ripped out, then is lowered into a vat of molten lava while still somehow alive. Now that's a movie death! Here's is the loose Hindu translation to Mola Rams chant:

Jaws - Quint's Demise

I don't know how this scene from Jaws has not already been featured yet. A classic, Quint's demise. Jaws came out in 1975 and it was rated PG, probably traumatized a lot of kids because of how graphic Spielberg's scene was. Top 10. Thanks to Mr. TIP for the request.

The Last Crusade - He Chose Poorly

The particular thing that makes this movie death so great is that normally dying of old age is pretty boring, but not this one. Our bad guy Walter Donovan picks a cup from the assortment of holy grails, takes a sip, and starts aging rapidly in front of Elsa as she screams in horror. The scene was created using time-lapse and puppets with different stages of decay. The end result is one memorable scene.
