Oh look, another reboot of an old horror franchise. Way to go Hollywood, way to stir the pot of originality. What's next, a Leprechaun in the Hood 2 remake? No, how about we remake Howard the fucking Duck? Yeah that's it, produced by Michael Bay, and filmed in 3D. All I can say is thank god for foreign cinema. Have you seen the new Kim Ji-woon film?

A Nightmare on Elm Street is a "reboot" of the original, that's a nice way of saying it's the same fucking movie they made 30 years ago, only with a bigger budget and better visual effects. On a plus note, Jackie Earle Haley plays as Freddy Krueger. He's the kind of guy you'd let your wife have sex with and feel damn proud of it after. Rorschach fucked my wife, Fuck yeah. A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors - Welcome to Primetime Bitch!

While this is where Freddy becomes the one-liner king, Dream Warriors is one of the better sequels. In this scene, Jennifer (Penelope Sudrow) falls asleep while watching the Dick Cavett Show. The TV goes fuzzy and as she tried to change the channel it grows arms and Freddy's head busts out picking her up and smashing her head through the screen while delivering the line: "Welcome to Primetime Bitch!"

Nightmare on Elm Street - Freddy's First Kill

While this was not Krueger's first kill based on historical events(that would be the murders he committed before burned alive by the lynch mob)this was Freddy's first on-screen kill in the series. Tina, lured outside into the alleyway courtesy of a fateful dream is sliced and diced in the stomach by Freddy's razor claws and then dragged up into the ceiling as her helpless boyfriend looked on. Classic.

Nightmare on Elm Street - Johnny Depp Blood Geyser

For the famous blood geyser scene, the film makers shot the sequence by turning the entire room upside-down on a gyro set and attaching the camera so that it looked like the room was right side up, then they poured gallons of red water into the room. (The normal movie blood wasn't able to create the right effect for the geyser.)

The spinning room turned incorrectly and caused a premature flood of "blood." According to the DVD commentary, the people pouring the "blood" were shocked when the wires were hit with the water and the room began to spin out of control. Wes Craven remarks that it was like the Ferris Wheel from hell. The power on the set went out and Craven said they were all in the dark and covered in blood.
