"We blew it" says Wyatt. Our protagonist's search for spiritual freedom was a complete failure. The next morning as Billy and Wyatt continue their journey, two hillbillies with nothing better to do decide to "scare the hell out of them." As they pull alongside Billy with their pickup truck, one of the hillbillies points a loaded shotgun at him while yelling out classic lines like "Why don't you get a haircut?" Billy responds with the old "New Jersey greeting", but this hillbilly doesn't take too kindly to obscene gestures, so he fires the shotgun at Billy who immediately hits the pavement. Wyatt stops to help Billy, then quickly jumps back on his bike to go get help. Well, of course the two good ol' boys in the pickup turn around and come back - can't have any witnesses, ya know - and blast Wyatt and his motorcycle off the road. The bike explodes and the movie ends with a continuous shot of the wreckage while the camera ascends to the sky. The journey is over as Billy and Wyatt finally find the freedom they were looking for.

Layer Cake - Ending

SPOILER ALERT!!! GO WATCH THIS MOVIE FIRST, THEN COME BACK
Our nameless main character finally made it to the top. He only made one mistake, he stole someone's girlfriend. As the narration ends and it becomes "present time", rule #1 comes back to bite him. Don't mess with another man's girl. You don't get to see good unexpected endings like this much in Hollywood anymore.
You're born, you take shit, move up, take less shit. There will always be a successor. Welcome to the Layer Cake.

Drag me to Hell - Dragged into Hell
---------Is the tagline a spoiler or what?
Well, from the title you knew someone was getting dragged to hell. But who? Who was she going to give the cursed button to? Her conniving coworker Stu, her boss? Personally I thought her boyfriend was going to open the envelope and accidentally "get dragged", like Stephen King's Thinner ending, but no. Sam Raimi lets us know who the bad guy really was, Christine. She became selfish and greedy once she made the decision to get a promotion, her only motivation was self gain and she was punished for it. She got dragged down to hell, who would have guessed?

The Wicker Man - Ending
Ending to the 1973 film The Wicker Man, where we find out that Sergeant Neil Howie IS the sacrifice. The revelation that the whole film had been building up to this final scene makes it one of the greatest deaths, quite shocking on first viewing.
Nicholas Cage was also sacrificed in the 2006 version.

Exiled - Final Shootout

As far as I'm concerned, Johnnie To is the best Hong Kong action director since John Woo. Exiled is a spectacle of violence and pure awesomeness that keeps you entertained till the very end. In the beautifully choreographed climactic shoot out, all hell breaks loose in the time it takes a Red Bull can to fall to the floor in slow motion. As a Johnnie To film, I'd have to recommend this movie to any old school HK action fan that misses the days of Chow Yun Fat shooting up a tea house. Add heart, amazing camera movements, and excellent use of lighting and you have Exiled.
