Tarantino creates characters unlike any other. Christopher Waltz as Standartenführer Hans Landa aka "The Jew Hunter" was the highlight of Quentin Tarantino's newest masterpiece Inglorious Basterds. Giving an Oscar worthy performance that will predictably be overlooked.
Another highlight of the film is Til Schweiger as Hugo Stiglitz, a German-born hardcore Nazi killer. Although it's a shame we don't get to see more of him and the basterds in action, we do get plenty of movie deaths. One in particular involves Eli Roth as Staff Sergeant Donny Donowitz aka
"The Bear Jew", a loudmouth baseball bat-swinging Nazi hunter from Boston. After an unsuccessful interrogation attempt on a German Officer, they call in "The Bear Jew." Equipped with a wooden baseball bat signed by fellow members of his Boston Jewish community, The Bear Jew does what he does best and proceeds to beat the German Officer's head into a bloody pulp. "It’s the closest we get to going to the movies," says Lieutenant Aldo Raine.
